Marwan

Marwan, formerly known as SLP (Statsløs Palæstinenser = Stateless Palestinian), is part of the massive Pimp-A-Lot crew from Århus.

 

The signing at Tabu Records came as a natural expansion of the record labels alliance with the best and most controversial rappers in DK.

 

 

Marwan is already one of the most notorious MC’s, known by his distinct and dialectic pronunciation combined with hard in-your-face lyrics.

In the producer chair behind Marwan we find Rune Rask and Troo.l.s from Suspekt and his usual partner in crime Abu Malek.

 

Marwan rejects being categorized as a political rapper, and also refuses to be cast as a “perker”rapper (Danish slang for immigrant) since he doesn’t believe that anybody wants to hear songs about kebabs…

Unlike kebabs, Marwan is unwrapped and unrestrained.

His direct honesty and roughness creates an immediate response by his listeners by opening the door to both compelling and frightening subjects.

 

Fearless, brutal, honest and dedicated.

There is no doubt that Marwan will push the limits in Danish rap.

Influenced by a rough upbringing and background his lyrics depict the raw street life and crime.
